Abstract

Abstract: Human Resource Management (HRM) faces numerous challenges, particularly within multinational corporations (MNCs) that employ workforces from diverse cultural and national backgrounds. This study aims to shed light on HRM practices and the transfer of managerial expertise within a culturally diverse environment. The core problem of the study revolves around examining the extent to which HRM contributes to transferring skills, knowledge, and expertise from expatriate/foreign workers to local employees. To achieve this objective, the descriptive-analytical approach was adopted. The study is structured into two main frameworks: a theoretical framework comprising four chapters that cover the foundational concepts, and an empirical framework involving a field study conducted across a selection of multinational companies operating in various sectors and provinces in Algeria, utilizing a questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees. The study concluded that there is a strong correlation between HRM practices and the transfer of expertise. Furthermore, HRM practices are significantly influenced by the dimensions of cultural diversity, as analyzed through Hofstede's five-dimension model. Ultimately, the findings reveal that HRM in foreign enterprises actively promotes the transfer of knowledge and expertise from the foreign investor to the local workforce, primarily driven by effective motivation and training practices.  Keywords: Human Resource Management, Cultural Diversity, Hofstede's Dimensions, Knowledge Management, Transfer of Experiences.
