Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the role of the financial performance of
Algerian economic institutions in attracting FDI during the period 2003-
2017.
A sample of 33 economic institutions distributed between the industrial and
service sectors was drawn from data provided by the Algerian Ministry of
Finance at the level of the Directorate of Major Enterprises.
To examine the relationship between FDI and the financial performance of
Algerian enterprises, Algeria's share of FDI flows as a percentage was
relied upon as a separate variable, while six separate variables were used:
{Return on investment, return on private funds, financial independence,
self-financing, public liquidity and short liquidity}, reflecting the financial
performance of Algerian institutions, divided by the nature of the financial
ratios into three models. Using The {ARDL} Model and we found a
negative impact for each of the return on investment and Financial
independence on Algeria’s share of global foreign direct investment flows,
while the results showed a positive impact of the return on private funds
and self-financing, as well as the absence of a significant effect of the
indicators of general liquidity and short liquidity on the proportion of
foreign direct investment incoming to Algeria as a percentage of the
volume of flows Globalism.
