Abstract

Summary: The Constitutional Foundation of the Maghreb authorizes the executive and the legislative powers to have oversight mechanisms between them in an attempt to embody the balance required by the principle of flexible separation of powers, However, studying the various mechanisms takes us away from the foundations of this principle due to the difference in the impact of the mechanisms possessed by the executive authority from that of the mechanisms possessed by the parliamentary institution. Such as his competence to install the government, discuss the state's foreign policy, and to require his approval to ratify some international treaties, as well as his competence to question the head of state and his oversight of the government's work, despite all of these mechanisms but most of them have a limited impact, either because they are without effect in the first place or because they are difficult to activate ا..
