Abstract
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of physical investment
on the growth of national economy from 2000 to 2014 in Algeria, after all
the prosperity plans adopted by the state to move the economy forward.
The research used to make this study was divided into three sections;
In the first and the second, we tackled the theoretical aspect of both the
money invested and economic growth as well as all the theories associated
with them, in Addition to the policy followed by Algeria to reform its
economic system at the beginning of what is known as the openness and
liberation stage.
In the third section, we discussed the investments made in the public
sector and their impact on the economic growth.
Our study indicates that there is a direct link between economic
growth and public investment. The later contributes to increasing the local
productivity.
The government's success to achieve a higher rate of growth depends
largely on the rate of investment, however, the Algerian economy is still
based on the oil and natural gas exports and the rates of growth achieved
in the other sectors with all the money invested remains relatively weak.
Keywords: Public investment, Added value, Local productivity, Economic
growth.
