Dyscalculia is a persistent disorder affecting the ability to process numbers and learn calculation, presenting difficulties at the level of cognitive operations involved in mathematical learning (attention and memory). This study aims to explore the relationship between selective visual attention and working memory related to dyscalculia. following an evaluation and diagnosis using a dyscalculia diagnostic tool developed by the researcher, which resulted in identifying that 4.66% of Algerian children aged 9 to 11 years and 5 months woh suffer from persistent dyscalculia disorder. To investigate the aforementioned relationship, the selective visual attention test (NEPSY) and working memory test were administered to 13 Algerian students in the 4th and 5th grades with dyscalculia. We adopted the descriptive method (case study), and the results revealed deficits in selective visual attention and working memory, thus confirming the hypothesis of a correlation between these factors and dyscalculia in children aged 9 to 11 years.
